Promised Time is typically used by a shop to indicate the date and time the shop committed to having a vehicle completed to the customer. While many shops use this, there are some that do not. It is important for shops that DO use promised times to quickly and easily see when the promised time is approaching and if it’s been exceeded so they can take action in the shop and set proper expectations with their customer.
