What's New?
This feature enables non-integrated shops to manually create and manage job line items directly within the TVP (Today's Vehicle Page) on repair orders. After a job is manually added to the TVP, it will automatically display on the technician's tablet view in AV.X. Once a job is added, users can:
Add images/attachments
Add shop notes
Add customer notes
Edit job details
Delete job
Adding a Job on TVP
Select RO tile on TVP.
Select Add Job.
Enter Job Title and Job Description.
Enter Billed Hours (optional- this can be added or edited later).
5. Select Add Job.

Complete the following actions as needed:
Select the pencil icon to edit the job title, description, or billed hours. (1)
Select the plus icon to add an image or PDF to the job. (2)
Enter Shop Notes. (3)
Enter Customer Notes. (4)
Select the trash icon to delete the job. (5)
Select Send to make the job visible to the customer on the inspection report.

Select the vehicle to view the jobs added from the TVP.
Select the image or note icons to add images or notes to the job as needed.
3. Mark the job complete to view a real-time update on TVP.

Job Progress on Manually Added Jobs
Every manually added job on Today’s Vehicle Page (TVP) features a progress bubble, providing a clear visual representation of the technician's status.
Seamless Sync with AV.X
Automatic Updates: When a technician updates a job's progress within the AV.X app, the change is reflected immediately on the Work Order tab.

Detailed Tooltips: Hovering over a progress bubble provides specific details about the job’s status.
0%: "Job not touched yet"
25%: "25% of job finished"
50%: "50% of job finished"
75%: "75% of job finished"
100% (Completed Today): "Job finished today"
100% (Completed Previously): "Job finished before today"
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can use this feature?
- This feature is exclusively for non-integrated shops (shops using paper-based systems or POS systems not integrated with AutoVitals). It must be enabled by the AutoVitals team through the shop-level settings.
Can integrated shops use this feature?
- No. This feature is specifically designed for non-integrated shops and is not available for shops with POS integration, as those jobs should come directly from the POS.
What information is required to create a job?
- You only need to provide:
- Job Title (required)
- Job Description (optional)
Are jobs I create automatically authorized?
- Yes. All manually created jobs are automatically marked as authorized, so they're immediately ready for technician work.
Can I edit a job after creating it?
- Yes. Click the edit icon on the job line item. The Add Job modal will reopen with your existing job title and description, allowing you to make changes.
Will technicians see jobs I create in TVP?
- Yes. Jobs created in TVP automatically appear in the technician's AV.X tablet view.
Troubleshooting
I added a job in TVP but it's not showing in AV.X. What should I do?
- Try these steps:
- Refresh the AV.X tablet view.
- Verify the job was successfully saved in TVP (check the Work Order tab).
- Ensure the technician is looking at the correct repair order.
- Contact AutoVitals support if the issue persists.
