AutoVitals now supports automatic inspection URL writeback for NAPA TRACS Enterprise shops. Your digital inspection results link will now appear directly on the Repair Order in TRACS.
When a vehicle inspection is available in AutoVitals, the inspection link is automatically sent to the corresponding Repair Order in TRACS Enterprise after pressing the Update Work Order button in TVP. The inspection is attached to the Work Order as a dedicated line item. Service writers and technicians can access the full inspection results link without leaving TRACS.
There is no setup required. AutoVitals handles everything automatically, including creating the inspection item on the Work Order.
How to Get the Best Results
To ensure the inspection link appears as expected, keep the following in mind:
- Keep the Work Order closed when not actively working on it. For the fastest experience, when the Work Order is closed in TRACS at the time the inspection update is sent, the link appears immediately with no action required.
- If the inspection link doesn't appear right away, try these steps: Press Update WO once more after saving the Work Order. In some cases it may take two updates for the link to fully appear. This is most common when:
- The Work Order was open in TRACS when the inspection update was sent
- This is the first time an inspection link is being sent to this Work Order
- Reorganize the line item for a cleaner worksheet. For best organization, move the AutoVitals Inspection Report URL note under the inspection labor item in NAPA TRACS. We encourage you to drag or reorder the AutoVitals Inspection Report URL line item directly beneath the inspection labor on the Repair Order. This keeps the inspection link nested with the related labor for a clean, organized worksheet.
Finding the Inspection Link
- Open the Work Order in TRACS Enterprise
- Go to the Worksheet tab
- Locate the AutoVitals Inspection Report URL line item
- Open the item's notes to view or copy the inspection link
