The BayIQ Customer Terminal is used to make adjustments to Rewards Customer accounts that cannot be made within your point of sale. Some common uses are:
- Removing vehicles
- Viewing account history
- Viewing a customer’s rewards, bonuses, and promotions
- Updating customer profile - email, address, or phone number
- Updating communication preference - email or text
- Adjusting customer points
- Merging customer rewards accounts
- Updating customer type - retail, fleet, or military
- Voiding a rewards transaction
- Adding or removing bonuses
- Removing a customer from your Rewards Program
- Creating rewards certificates (For One-Way integrated point of sale systems only)
Search for a Customer
Select Customers, then Customer Terminal from the top menu bar in your dashboard.
Select your Market from the list, and the Customer Terminal will open in a new window.
To locate a customer, search by rewards card number, email address, phone number, or last name. Then, select Go!
Select a Customer
If your search results include multiple customers, choose your customer from the list by selecting the Name to access their Rewards Account. Otherwise, you’ll be directed to the customer’s Rewards Account.
From here, depending on which point-of-sale shop management system your business uses, you may be directed to the Customer Account Information page or remain within the Customer Terminal Window.

Customer Terminal Window
Once you have selected your Rewards Customer, you will see the following page.
Customer Info
Select the Customer Info icon to view and edit customer information.
This is where you can update customer contact information, birthday, communication preference (email or text), merge customers, customer type, or access the Account Page.
Account History
Select the spreadsheet icon to access Account History.
Here you can view all transactions, void a rewards transaction, and view the point adjustment history.
Vehicles
Select the X icon to view a customer’s vehicles.
Then select deactivate to remove them from the rewards account.
Add Members
Select the + icon to add household members to a rewards account.
Then, fill out the form and select Save New Members. This will add members to the rewards account to earn and share their rewards together.
Adjust Points
Select Adjust Points to manually add or remove points from a rewards account. Learn how to adjust rewards points here.
Redeem Rewards
Customers with point-of-sale systems that do not fully integrate with BayIQ will use the Customer Terminal to redeem Rewards Points and Bonuses by creating a Rewards Certificate. Account Information
After searching and selecting a customer using the Customer Terminal, BayIQ customers with integrated point-of-sale systems will be directed to the Account Information page. Non-integrated BayIQ customers can still access this page by following the steps under Customer Information above.
Customer Info
In this section, select Edit to update your customer’s account type, preferred store, or the store where they registered for rewards.
The customer Account Type determines the conversion rate for the rewards points they earn. Learn more about changing a rewards customer type here.
If your business has multiple stores, the Store selection will determine which store’s contact information is displayed in the emails they receive. Updating the Signup Store will change the store the customer’s signup is attributed to your reporting. Select Update to save your changes.
Tip: Most customers change both Store and Signup Store if they are updating one or the other.
Select Delete a Rewards Account to remove a customer from your Rewards Program. They will no longer earn rewards or receive emails about their rewards account. Learn more about removing a customer from rewards here.
Account Members
Select Add New Member to add household members to the Rewards Account.
Then, fill out the form and select Save New Members. This will add members to the rewards account to earn and share their rewards together.
To edit a Rewards Customer’s contact information or date of birth, select Edit on the right-hand side. Make any changes and select Update.
If you find multiple Rewards Accounts for the same customer, select Merge on the right-hand side to combine them together. Learn more about merging Rewards Accounts here.
Bonuses and Promotions
This section shows all Rewards available to this specific customer. Select the trash can icon to remove a bonus or select Add Bonus to add a new bonus to the account. Learn more about adding and removing bonuses here.
Transactions
Select the Transactions tab at the top to view all customer invoices, the point balance, and the points used. Select the red minus icon to void a transaction. This will return any points earned or Rewards redeemed back to the Rewards Account.
Point Adjustments
Scroll to the bottom of the page to find Point Adjustments. Here any manual adjustments made to a customer’s point balance will be displayed. Select Adjust Points to make adjustments.

Vehicles
Select the Vehicles tab at the top to view vehicles associated with the Rewards Account. Select Deactivate to remove a vehicle.
Communications
Select the Communications tab at the top to view all email or text communications sent to your customers.
Note: This tab only shows communications sent within the last 60 days.
Select View Templates to see a preview of the emails and text messages sent to your customers.
