We've rebuilt the AutoVitals.X technician app from the ground up. It's the same app you use today same login, same inspections, same work orders, with a modernized design and a set of improvements shops have been asking for.
The new version is rolling out in phases over the coming weeks, so users won't all see it on the same day. When it reaches yours, it replaces the old app automatically, unless the device has automatic update disabled, then shops will need to visit their app store and download the update. If your automatic update is disabled, search for AutoVitals.X in the app store and click update.
What's new
It works in portrait. Most screens work in portrait mode on phone and tablet.
Longer videos from your camera roll. Videos up to 2 minutes long, recorded with your device camera or uploaded from your library, can be added to an inspection.
A cleaner home screen. When you have more than two vehicles on screen, the header tucks away as you scroll so you can see more of your list.
What to do before your shop updates
- Confirm your devices are running iOS 16 or newer, or Android 8 or newer. Older devices can't run the new app.
- Have your shop welcome code and personal code handy for the first login. Your welcome code is in System Settings under TVPx/Tablet Login Codes.
