Changing An Interval
- Open a vehicle and run the Overdue Services Report. Settings are reached from inside the report, so you need a vehicle open to get to them.
- Select the gear icon in the upper right of the report.
- Find the service you want to change and adjust its mileage interval, its time interval, or both.
- Choose how widely the change applies: to this vehicle only, to all vehicles of that make, or to all vehicles.
- Save.
What You Can and Cannot Change
- You can change the mileage interval and the time interval for a service.
- You cannot rename a service. The service name comes from the manufacturer data.
- You can remove a service you do not want recommended. Removing it hides it rather than deleting it, and you can restore it later from the same panel.
- You can apply a severe-duty schedule where the vehicle's use justifies it.
How to Tell Whether An Interval is Yours or the Manufacturer's
Each service in the report shows an OEM or Shop badge. If a recommendation looks wrong and the badge says Shop, someone at your shop set that interval, and you can change it with the steps above. If it says OEM, it is the factory schedule.
A Note on Changing Intervals Widely
Applying a change to all vehicles is fast, and it is also the setting most likely to produce recommendations you did not expect later. If you are shortening an interval across your whole book, change it for one make first and watch the results for a week before applying it everywhere.
