Signing In to Mastertech For the First Time

Before You Start

Your shop needs to be set up in Mastertech before anyone can sign in, and you need to be added as a user. If you are not sure whether that has happened, check with the person that manages your shop's Mastertech account, or contact AutoVitals support.

Signing In

  1. Open your browser and go to app.mastertech.ai.
  2. Sign in with the email address your account was created with.
    • If your account was created with a Google address, use Continue with Google.
    • If your account was created with a non-Google address, enter your email address and password instead.
  3. Bookmark the page so you can get back to it quickly.

Important: use the same sign-in method every time. If you first created your account with Google and later try to sign in with an email and password, or the other way around, Mastertech will tell you that an account already exists using a different method. Go back and use your original method.

If You Are Using Mastertech Inside AutoVitals

If your shop uses the Mastertech tab inside the Today’s Vehicle Page, you do not need to sign in separately. Open a repair order and select the Mastertech tab, and the vehicle on that repair order loads automatically.

Common Sign-In Error Messages

  • "Please enter a valid email address." The address was not accepted as a valid format. This is almost always an extra space at the start or end, or a missing @ symbol. Retype it and try again.
  • "You had previously created a Mastertech account with this email using a different authentication method." You are trying a different sign-in method from the one your account was created with. Use your original method, either Continue with Google, or email and password.
  • You cannot remember which email address you used. Contact support and we can look it up for you.
